Vattenfall
will CO2-Ausstoß halbieren

Der
Energiekonzern Vattenfall will seinen Ausstoß von klimaschädlichem Kohlendioxid
bis 2030 halbieren. Mit einem Bündel von Maßnahmen, vom Ausbau der Fernwärme bis
hin zum Neubau von Biomasse-Kraftwerken, wolle der Konzern bis 2050 eine
insgesamt CO2-neutrale Energieerzeugung erreichen, teilte Vattenfall gestern in
Hamburg mit. Bezogen auf die Hansestadt sei vor allem die Versorgung der
Wohnungen mit Fernwärme ein bedeutsames Ziel. Bis 2020 will Vattenfall in
Hamburg rund 480000 Wohnungen mit Fernwärme versorgen und dadurch den
CO2-Ausstoß für die Heizung im Vergleich zu dem Jahr 1990 um 46 % auf 557000
Tonnen pro Jahr senken.
