clarinet teachers: Dr.Olsen & Mr.Carter

clarinet teachers: Dr.Olsen & Mr.Carter

I guess everybody says his/her teacher was the best one in IMC, because they are all very good, BUT our clarinet teachers were really extremely good!!!! Both of them.     In my Private lesson I was working with Mr.Carter and in only 4 hours I learnt so many new things... and the ensemble rehearsals with Dr.Olsen were also great. Of course I also have to mention our masterclasses - they were very informative, but also very amusing!

I just can say:     .......

I agree, Mr Carter was a very good teacher.  I didn't have Dr Olsen for anything, but I had two private lessons with Mr Carter and I learned a ton about playing clarinet-- I feel like I've improved quite a bit.

Dr. Carter will always be #1 in my heart   I never had private lessons with him, but he did our sectional class and was totally fabulous. Dr. Olsen is also great, and is likely the only reason why I passed fundamentals.    I love them both!!

I agree with everything!  Mr. Carter was a really cool teacher, he gave me an extra lesson for free (because the first lesson all we talked about was reeds).  I was so happy, and I learned a lot!  I find I'm practicing more too, and I actually like it!  Masterclasses were always fun!  And the clarinet quartet of the seventh session was great!  I'm going to buy those pieces as soon as I can!
