I don´t know if I understood you right: you choose at the beginning of the schoolyear one of these programms and you have everyday the same number of classes?? Sounds very boring...
Yesterday I had a training for motorcycle to become safer (we have to do that - it´s compulsory for everyone who get the driving licence). It was lots of fun because we did lots of practices! But my motorcycle I drove with was so slow (it wasn´t my own, because I don´t want to ruin my darling... )

Actually ... we switch it around a little every week. On Wednesdays and Thursday, we only have 3 classes each (4 if you take a zero hour). Wednesday, we have hour 0, 1, 3, 5, and Thursday we have hour 0, 2, 4, 6. Unfortunately, I ALWAYS have to get up early for hour 0, because we have it everyday. But people most likely changes classes after one semester, because some classes are only one semester long, so you can choose a new class for the second semester. Other classes, like math, science, history, and english (home language), are required for an entire year, so you might have it on a different period, but you still have to take the class througout the year. I'm VERY excited for college, because then I can choose what kind of classes I want to take, and when to take them. That would just simply be amazing ...
but for now .. I just have to roll with what I have .... bleh ...
But having marching band at the very end of the day just makes everything better
Re: What people are up to
It´s so interesting to compare different systems.... Thanks for your answers!
At school we have to learn the British and the American school system, but that are only things which are written in a book - I mean of course they are real, but they don´t show anything of the practice!
Re: What people are up to
Usually schools in Winnipeg follow the "semester system" which is a basic 9:00 to 2:30 school day, some days 3:30 for extra classes, and you choose which courses you want, and have different courses each semester. My school, however, is on the "six day cycle", which means you take the same courses all year long, but they're in different orders on different days... like, on Day 1 I have: Drama, Spare, History, Physics, Lunch, French, Gym, and Gym (Gym, unfortunately, lasts for two hours on Day 1)... Then on Day 2 I have: Bible, French, English, Band, Lunch, History, Pre-Calculus... and so on and so forth for 6 days...

Very interesting....
I guess Pre-Calculus has something to do with maths?? And what are you doing in "Spare"??
Re: What people are up to
yeah, there's three types of math: Pre-Cal, Applied, and Consumer
Spare is NO CLASS! YAY! You just do homework or wander around or go home if it's at the end of the day...

I was just wondering, because it sounded in your description like a class...
