i think if we're gonna talk about contribution to metal music, then in my opinion i will have to say that METALLICA and SAVATAGE are those who made a difference in the metal scene worldwide
Black Sabbath definitely created Metal.. Metallica changed it into something perfect... Personally, my fave bands are Metallica, Limp Bizkit and Tool (Although the last two aren't pure heavy metal, but they rule anyway)
