Re: Spoiler Politik
Ich hatte sie schon fix eingeplant! Bin ein Riesenfan solcher Anthalogien!
Re: Spoiler Politik

Thats right. Writer Dan Slott is going to be leaving She-Hulk after a magnificent run, from what I've been told. I understand that the announcement will be made at Philly Comic Con this FCBD weekend. What will happen with Dan? Hard for me to say for sure, but whatever it is its supposed to be big league. Considering I also heard that most if not all rumours about whos taking over writing duties on Amazing Spider-Man are off the mark, I invite you to speculate that Slott may be in the running for that illustrious role. ASM is pretty darned big league, wouldnt you say? Whos replacing Dan on She-Hulk? Someone pretty damn good who will fit the role perfectly.

Cap, We Hardly Knew Ye
New Avengers #31 is supposed to be really, really, really big. My ninjas, even with the aid of jetpack samurai, were only able to get a hold of the fact that its supposed to be another Captain America #25. What, does Tony die? That would prove interesting, now wouldnt it?
This Has A Killing Heroes For Your Entertainment Since Factor Of Eight Out Of Ten.
Silver Surfer Platter
Si Spurrier is a fave writer of mine, coming mostly from the hallowed pages of 2000 AD. Imagine my elation when I found out by mere chance (with the aid of some sneaky gnomes) that he will have a Silver Surfer mini-series come out around November (with art by Tan Eng Huat). The story isnt supposed to cause any continuity problems with it taking the Surfer back to the halcyon days of whimsical, wandering melancholia along with gorgeous starships, galactic strife, psychedelic astral experiences, and a mind blowing array of alien gribblies. Sounds quite awesome, no? Ill keep you posted on whats going on with this.
urghh!
This has been a week of Marvel bits, and in addition to what you read above, heres some more
The pages of the Avengers / Transformers crossover have begun to roll out. I may have something more for you on this anticipated title in the future.
World War Hulk will be servicing the #1 fan request moment in the past year, Ive heard. What will that be? Just take a guess.
Did you think Annihilus was a big surprise in Annihilation? Theres something coming thats supposed to be even bigger. More on this as I dig it up like a three-headed Hoffa.
Are you a classic Marvel fan? Nova #2 and #3 are cant miss issues, then.
Speaking of stuff you shouldnt miss, June/July is the time for you Cable/Deadpool fans. I overheard that something big will happen yeah, Im on that, too.
It's funny how the Fantastic Four keep getting mentioned every week. Now I understand that FF #551 is supposed to be huge. Does it tie in with the previously reported creative team rumour? Well see.
Sure, the aforementioned might raise more questions than they answer, but I came across it and just thought I would share.

Slott an ASM? Don't think so! Aber wenn doch: Nice!
Zitat: Whos replacing Dan on She-Hulk? Someone pretty damn good who will fit the role perfectly. Die Serie wird ohne Slott fortgeführt Now I'm really suprised!
Zitat: New Avengers #31 is supposed to be really, really, really big. My ninjas, even with the aid of jetpack samurai, were only able to get a hold of the fact that its supposed to be another Captain America #25. What, does Tony die? That would prove interesting, now wouldnt it?Tony stirbt natürlich nicht, da er noch vom Hulk verprügelt werden muss. Was kann also grosses passieren?

Vinnie Colletta is a legendary name in comic book circles legendary because he could be one of the worst inkers in the biz, but kept getting work becuase he was fast and reliable and had some powerful friends including one time Marvel E-I-C- Jm Shooter. When Shooter left Marvel, Colletta found his employment opportunities considerably lessened, which leads to the letter reproduced at 20th Century Danny Boy:
You are the droppings of the creative world. You were destined to float the cesspool till urine logged and finally sink to the bottom with the rest of the shit but along came Jim Shooter who rolled up his sleeves and rescued you.
He gave you a title, respectability, power and even a credit card that you used and abused. He made you the highest payed Editors in the history of the business. He protected you against all that would tamper with your rights, your power and your pocketbook.
He backed you against all Prima Donna free lancers no matter how big. his pockets were always open to you. No cry of help was too small for him to turn his back on.
As heard in the Brass: section of the company. He never asked for anything for himself.always for his men.
The roof over your head, the clothes on your back, the car you drive and the trinkets you buy for your blind wives and girlfriends you owe to the Pittsburgh kid.
The link contains much more on Colletta and the-then politics of Marvel in the early 80s, including a transcript of a conversation that was probably private, but what the heck after 25 years the Freedom of Information act applies.
The blog link in question also links to Christopher Priests thoughts on his more or less contemporaneous time at Marvel editing the Spider-man line, a time which was not a happy one for him. Priest doesnt like pullquotes, but its worth reading as well.
Wed all like to be heroes of our own stories, and its hard to tell the story of when you were a chimp.
