In every german city there is a school named VOLKSHOCHSCHULE where you and your wife can learn the German Language.

Re: Hello Everybody

Hallo Punjabi girl ji ,

First of all i want to thank you for your kind reply. I live in Königheim its near Würzburg. And my wife is German but she is working girl so she have not so much time to teach me and i went to so many language schools like VHS, LOGO, INLINGUA, but all are very very costly for me i think if any indian or punjabi can teach me then it will be very easy for me. If you know any body who can help me then pls let me know. And if you speak punjabi then its very good for me because then i can reply you in Punjabi. Ok my dear thank you once again.

Take care and Bye bye

Re: Hello Everybody

Hello Deepi,

I wish I could speak Punjabi :-( , but I try to learn it. It's not so easy for me because my friend (he's from Panjab too) lives and works in Berlin for 17 years, but we don't live together in the same city... I only know some Punjabi-words and Punjabi-sentences which I write him in little sms. Otherwise he speaks German.

Does your wife like Hindi-films? Then you could try to learn our language with this media. So I try to learn Hindi. For Punjabi I have the film "Des Hoya Pardes", but it's very difficult for me. I also listen Bhangra-Songs to hear the Punjabi words, but without the translation I don't understand the words. You see it's not so easy to learn a new language... :-(

I have an idea: why doesn't your wife write little pieces of paper and stick it on the objects in your flat?! It's a start, try it ;-).

I wish you good luck and sunny days :-) !

Re: Hello Everybody

And yes my wife likes indian films and she like Shahrukh Khan and can you please tell me which is your favourite Indian film and who is your favourite Indian film star.
I wish you too a very very beautiful evening.

Re: Hello Everybody

Good evening, Deepi!

You're right, I don't told you where I live. I live in Schwedt/Oder, it's about 3 km from the border to Poland.

Please tell your wife that I also love Hindi-Films. My favourite actress is Rani Mukherjee, my favourite actor is Shahrukh Khan too. "Pardes" is my favourite film.

Today a colleague of my friend promised me a panjabi-book of exercises. I hope he'll don't forget it. Next week I know more.

Now I wish you and your wife nice days!

Re: Hello Everybody

Hello and Welcome here!!!

My friend told me about you and the messages you left here! She told me a little bit about you and I understand why you want to learn the German language...

I am in love with a Punjabi-Man for about 3 month now. He lives in Germany (Berlin) for almost 9 years now- and he speaks my language very well. Ladi told me that he went to a special school to learn GERMAN... now he even can read and write german!!! And Iam very proud of him!!! Maybe you should try to find such a special course, too. I am sure it could help you to learn our language quick and well!!!!

On the other side I try to learn a little bit Punjabi! But its seems to be quite difficult! My boyfriend often speaks punjabi with his friends- and I guess he likes it, when I dont understand the things they re talking about...

But we are thinking about spending some weeks in Punjab - maybe next year- because he wants me to get to know his older sisters ( his parents are already dead). But both wimen do not speak just one GERMAN or even ENGLISH word... so I have to learn very soon!!!

Anyway, I wish you all the best for you and your wife!
Greetings,
Peggy
