Zitat: - Z - Still...Mmh.. what kind of scrap parts do you have lying around??Just post what you've got and I'll look if I find something better and fitting. I seriously doubt it, though... I already exploited the crappy old things to set up a small linux machine for experimenting, and there's probably not much useful stuff left. But who knows.
I do have some spare monitors, if anyone's interested. Plus a very big couch from the '70s, of course...
Re: Tower Conversion Tool
@Z: I am interested in screenshots of Z's Zuse Z90 PC Could you run ToB, enter Console with STRG + TAB (CTRL + TAB), and type in FPS ON for fps frame counter panel and then pressing DRUCK (PRINT) for copying screenshot into clipboard (and paste it into your graphics tool) and send it to me? And log file log.txt, too?
Re: Tower Conversion Tool
Yeah!!!! I just got rid of it!! The very big couch from the '70s, I mean.
A guy who just moved out of his parents house took a look at is this evening and wants to pick it up with a van on Tuesday. Just hope he won't back down. That will save me 20 Euros for the waste disposal, and somehow I'm even glad that the good old piece will live on for a while.
Re: Tower Conversion Tool
Just to keep you informed: I eventually DID start with the conversion tool yesterday, and even got ahead quite well. It's all just a matter of months now...
Re: Tower Conversion Tool
Screenshots... right. Right. Ok. First, I'll have to pay a visit to a friend so I can actually download the bloody file; some time this week, I hope. Downloading smallish files is no problem, but if it won't fit on a disk, I have to go and seek out someone with both internet access AND a burner.
Conversion Tool - good to hear it's in the works. Considering the apparently unstable nature of the emulated Amiga ToB version, this is probably a must. I'd really HATE not being able to use all those homegrown towers just because the progam decides it wants to crash all of a sudden.

Don't know what I'm doing different now, but who cares.
Step one will be converting Amiga to Atari and vice versa. Later I can add conversion for the remake. Last weekend Mayo asked me to do a complete tower designer for the remake. That would require a much more complex user interface, of course, plus the need to make it somewhat "beatiful", which is not really my cup of tea. But who knows, maybe I'll give it a try.
Re: Tower Conversion Tool
Whoa... just make it easy and userfriendly, you hear?
Well, I guess you know all about the shortcomings of the old editor. Invisible towers... pfff... Turbolifts... sheesh...

Re: Tower Conversion Tool
By the way, I made a quick experiment with Mayo's tower editor, and it seems like it allows building turbolifts too... *g*

Zitat: Mayo Hehe, yeah, and therefore it's a must for a new tower editor Actually it's quite good! And I'm pretty sure I couldn't do it any better. I'll stick to the converter instead...
