New Folder & stuff

New Folder & stuff

I finally added a new subsection for anything related to the remake. Not that we have so many threads, but it's nice to have everything in its place.

I also moved a couple of threads from the general chat-corner (Tower Inn) to the playing-the-game-corner.

Have fun!

We thank you to observe all safety precautions.

Re: New Folder & stuff

Also her mit dem Lebenslauf!!

Gruß,
Dirk (der größere und kurzhaarigere von Z's Soester Kumpels)

Re: New Folder & stuff

I just had to translate that last posting for my own curiosity. www.freetranslation.com came up with such entertaining gibberish that I felt I had to share it!

Hello Flo, and sincerely welcome!

As the first action here you may so flattened confessed occur me now first of all verklickern, why you me! I have after we encountered ourselves on the Kirmes, yet 'ne half eternity the head broken me, know could be not pleased from where I you, but somehow the penny.. Therefore here with the resume!

Greeting, Dirk (the larger and kurzhaarigere of Z's IT most so Kumpels)

"you may so flattened confessed occur me now"? "but somehow the penny"???

Computers can be funny.

Artinum.

Re: New Folder & stuff

My, that *is* entertaining.

(wipes eyes)

"Verklickern" means to explain; "Der Groschen fällt" means to finally realize something. "Confessed" is the keyword here - "bekannt sein", to know someone, and "bekannt haben", to have confessed...

I went up to Soest a few months ago to meet Fawlty and Exiter (and, yes, I did see them together, both at once), and Arma just happened to drop in, so to speak.
Fawlty and Arma are both in the software business, so maybe that's how they know each other. Perhaps some workshop or something.

Let's see what Babelfish makes of it:

Re: New Folder & stuff

Damn, what a piece of crap! *lol*

It's particularly interesting how violently the translator moved some expressions ("so flattened confessed occur", "could not be pleased")... I have no idea why he did that. Z, do you have an explanation?

But my favourite is that one:

But I still wonder how it could know that I'm an IT guy.....

Re: New Folder & stuff

Hello Dirk,

actually, i have no clue. Once in a while im going for a visit to the Pesel or the Sonic, sometimes even the Kater since my girlfriend is a formerly Soestetarian. :-)
Perhaps you were this naked diver which surprised us on the Möhnesee one morning while we where sleeping in our estate.

Are you in any kind known with some people working in the hospital? My to-be brother-in-law is working over there and we attended some lame partys there.

But there's another reasonable statement : I'm just so cute, every person in the world must have already had wet dreams with me.

Are you a student of some kind of informatics and applied to some kind of thesis-work or semester-internship in Dortmund? I usually have to choose our disenfranchised student-workes and you didn't had any chance since your male and bold. :-)

Perhaps you were this naked diver which surprised us on the Möhnesee one morning while we where sleeping in our estate. Possibly yes! I have this tendency to wear as few clothes as possible whenever I get the chance.

But seriously, now we're getting closer. I studied computer sciences in Dortmund from '94 till '99 (though for the second half of that time university was just a place for me to eat and surf the internet). But I guess you still shit your pants back in those days. Anyway, maybe you know one of my old buddys Oliver Pauls and Jörg Parthe, who still hang around at the UniDO?
Is it possible that I know you from any metal concerts or festivals? Or anything related to the Rock Hard chat maybe? I'd bet it's something like that...

I need something for dinner now. Some Samosas maybe. Delicious... *yummy*

The only students which *might* have attend courses during theses years i know of area Marco Grosskord and perhaps iforgothernamebutshe'sdamnsexy.

Though i'm not engaged with the Rock Hard Chat, i'm a regular attender of metal nights and concerts. Perhaps you're a Matrix-Visitor? Or even the Sacre-Coeur or Spirit in DO? I've visited almost every single Motorhead Concert during the last years in the Ruhr-Area and around. I got no clue.
