Uruguay agrees to take Guantanamo detainees
MONTEVIDEO, Uruguay Uruguays President José Mujica said Thursday that his country had agreed to receive detainees from the U.S. military prison at Guantanamo Bay, calling the decision a matter of human rights.
U.S. President Barack Obama is struggling to fulfill his five-year-old promise to close the controversial jail, and countries have been slow to come forward and agree to accept transferred inmates.
Uruguay would be the first country in South America to do so.

Uruguay leader open to Guantanamo detainees

MONTEVIDEO, Uruguay Uruguays president indicated Thursday hes open to taking some former terror suspects still held at Guantanamo, but the U.S. ambassador in the country cautioned that no agreement has been reached.
If the inmates of Guantanamo want to make their nests in Uruguay, they can do it, President Jose Mujica told Channel 10s Subrayado program while at a farm fair in rural Uruguay. But he said he told his negotiators that he would not be their jailer.

Uruguay les abrirá las puertas a los presos de Guantánamo, serán cinco, los que estarán libres, podrán traer a su familia y trabajar. Será por dos años en la muestra agropecuaria de Soriano Mujica explicó por qué aceptó el pedido que le hizo el presidente Barack Obama: No hay que hacer novelas, no es ningún acuerdo, es un pedido y una cuestión de derechos humanos.

Ich koennte mir vorstellen, dass diese Haeftlinge erst einmal gewaltig die Schnauze voll haben von Gefaengnissen und nicht wieder in eines rein wollen.

Na dann mal viel Spass mit Islam-Terrroristen!!Möglich ist alles. Aber hätte man ihnen etwas nachweisen können, immerhin wurden sie mit Sicherheit auch dem (aus US-amerikanischer Sicht harmlosen) Waterboarding unterzogen, dann kämen sie 100%ig nicht frei!!!
Kann natürlich sein, dass sie jetzt vollkommen destabilisiert und sauer sind. Wie gesagt: Alles ist möglich!!!
