Pink Floyd received the prize from His Majesty King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden at a gala ceremony at the Stockholm Concert Hall, followed by a celebratory banquet at Grand Hôtel on Tuesday 26th August. Pink Floyd will receive one million Swedish Crowns, which is equivalent to approximately USD 140,000 or EURO 108,000. Nick Mason did an interview on Swedish radio and obviously the inevitable question was asked: will there ever be a reunion?. Mason replied that he personally would love to do it and that he the rest of the band weren't negative about the subject either, though in his opinion it was much more a case of finding the right moment and free time in all their schedules to do it.

ich hab's gerade bei den Yesfans gelesen, das tut mir leid, ich wusste ebenfalls nicht, dass er Krebs hatte. Ein großartiger Musiker, leider immer etwas unterschätzt. Wirklich traurig.

Ich werde den Mann und seine Musik feiern und erkläre diese Woche für mich offiziell zur Pink Floyd und Richard Wright Woche. Da gibt es einige bisher nur selten oder lange nicht mehr gehörte Alben. Vielleicht schau ich mir noch mal eine PF Show im Plantetarium an.

Eine wirklich sehr traurige Nachricht. Im Nachhinein bekommen da die Pink Floyd -Klänge bei Gilmours On An Island - Tour, als Rick die Keyboards bediente, noch eine ganz andere Bedeutung.

lch bin geschockt, damit hätte ich nicht gerechnet. Auf der Gilmour DVD machte er einen sehr lebendigen Eindruck!

Somit ist die Musikwelt wieder um einen großartigen Keyboarder ärmer. Ich wusste nicht, dass er ernsthaft krank ist, aber vielleicht wollte Rick damit auch nicht so gerne an die Öffentlichkeit. Beim Live 8-Gig vor drei Jahren und der Gilmour-Tour machte er noch einen gesunden Eindruck.
