German Tour Announced
Elbow have just confirmed an extensive German tour for the month of November.
The band will be crossing the country to play shows in the great cities of Munich, Frankfurt, Cologne, Berlin and Hamburg
Monday 3rd November - Munich, Backstage Werk
Tuesday 4th November - Frankfurt, Mousonturm
Wednesday 5th November - Cologne, Luxor
Friday 7th November - Berlin, Columbiaclub
Saturday 8th November - Hamburg, Uebel & Gefachrlich was ist mit - karlsruhe .. stuttgart - (?) .. :/

so klasse mit streichern .. hoffentlich sind sie in berlin mit dabei..
Ewig gelobt, ewig unterschätzt, eine Welt, die zu großen Teilen gegen einen ist, eine Karriere voller Hindernisse und jetzt ein Abschluss mit Knalleffekt. Angeblich soll das neue Album "The Seldom Seen Kid" die letzte Platte von Elbow sein. Dann ist Schluss mit zornigem und traurigem Brit-Pop aus Manchester, mit gefühlvollen Kompositionen, mit bombastischen und pompösen Arrangements, mit wütenden und ironischen Ausfällen gegen die Welt und ihre Führer, seien es US-Präsident oder Papst, mit Melancholie und Trauer und Weinen. Die Band ist angeblich genervt von den ewigen Downloads, in Wahrheit wird sie einfach nur die Schnauze voll haben vom ganzen Business und sich endlich einmal ganz dem Ennui widmen.
Dabei ist "The Seldom Seen Kid" doch der absolute Höhepunkt des bisherigen Bandschaffens. Man merkt der Musik der Briten an, dass über 15 Jahre gemeinsame Geschichte in ihr steckt. Ob noch weiter getourt wird? Auf jeden Fall noch einmal im Herbst. Diese Konzerte muss man einfach besuchen und die Schönheit und "The Loneliness of a Tower Crane Driver" (so der Titel des zentralen Tracks auf der Platte) noch einmal zu spüren.

da kommen sicher noch termine..in CH und A waren sie ja noch garnicht..
geht sicher im frühjahr noch weiter..
toll das konzert gell :)
bin immer wieder überrascht, was für eine gute qualität die bei fabchannel bieten..
(wenn ich mir so manche videos/konzert-mitschnitte auf youtube anschau )
