Die Meister des Gothicrocks melden sich zurück. Nachdem im letzten Jahr das The Cure-Album 4:13 Dream erschienen war, hatte Robert Smith schon das Dark Album angekündigt. Mittlerweile steht dieser Release wieder in den Sternen, aber dafür gibt es andere frohe Botschaften von der Band: Im Frühjahr 2010 wird die Deluxe Edition von Disintergration erscheinen und neben dem remasterten Original jede Menge bis dato unveröffentlichte Raritäten und eine DVD mit verschiedenen Livesongs bieten. Das Ende der Fahnenstange ist damit aber noch lange nicht erreicht, denn Smith kündigte ebenso die Veröffentlichung von einer Mixed Up Fortsetzung an, der In Orange DVD sowie einem Box-Set The Cure @ The BBC. Und wer weiß, vielleicht findet sich ja direkt danach die Zeit, um das Dark Album fertig zu stellen?

..das dark album hätte ja ende 2008 kommen sollen.. die songs sind ja schon alle aufgenommen.. (düsterer überschuss von den 4:13 Dream aufnahmen, laut robert) kommen wird sie sicher.. irgendwann! und die anderen specials nehm ich natürlich auch genre mit!!

Desintegration... mein Gott, ich hatte "damals" keine Ahnung, was Gothic ist... (ok, steckte ja auch noch alles etwas in den Kinderschuhen... ) aber witzig war´s als unser hübscher Klassengoth mich dann - zum ersten mal überhaupt dass sie mit mir gesproche hatte - fragte "duuuu...sag mal... du hast doch die neue Cure... und die Black Celebration von DM auch ... äh... kannste mir die mal aufnehmen oder ... " ... tja, dieses subtile "oder" ist mir entgangen, ich hab die CD auf ne Cassette aufgenommen, und das war´s ... Ich hätt´s damals wohl nicht gemerkt, wenn sie mir´s nicht direkt auf ein Plakat gemalt hätte... tja. Those have been the days...

John was the champion of the obscure and the unheard. The DJ who gave many artists and bands their first and, sometimes, only chance to be heard on national radio.

The Dark Album - No recent news about the next album, or when it will be released. The band are no longer signed with Geffen, and there is no word yet on where they will end up next.
Live Shows/Tours - As of mid-December, there has been no talk of any live shows or tours in the near future.
Remastered CDs - Disintegration will be released in Spring 2010 as a 3 CD deluxe edition, a single CD, and double vinyl. Track list and more info at www.thecure.com. ++++

Cure lösen sich auf, nehmen das letze Ablum auf etc.seit ich Cure zum ersten Mal gehört habe (ca. 1988).
Alles wird gut, was neues von Cure hören wir noch im Altenheim !

auf die in orange und show dvd warten wir auch schon ewig... sollen es doch gleich auf blu-ray bannen.. die trilogy gibts schon seit februar auf blu-ray..
